On 15 December 2014, the new sewerage works of the Budapest Sewage Works Zrt. South Pest Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Budapest Metropolitan Sewerage Works of Budapest, completed on 15 December.

In addition to the 2 gas engines existing in the plant, the investor had a new 1200 kW gas engine installed, which had to be connected to the existing electrical network of the plant.

As a result, VÁV UNION Ltd. developed and implemented a complete energy rationalisation plan, which involved the extension of the existing 10 kV receiving station, the installation of a new 10 kV receiving station on the gas engine side and a new 0.4 kV installation with 2 new 1600 kVA transformers. In the context of energy rationalisation, the previously existing phase correction equipment was replaced by new state-of-the-art equipment. VÁV UNION Ltd. carried out the manufacture and installation of the equipment, the construction of the new cable substructure and the cabling during the on-site works.
